PEC is now developing future proof forecourt technologies to compliment fuel pump manufacture. HistoryPEC was founded in 1939 and quickly became a market leader in innovative technology and design. Early in its history, fuel pumps were designed which incorporated cutting-edge features such as fuel blending and coin operation. In the 1970's PEC was the first company in the world to incorporate microprocessors into fuel pumps along with LCD display's. In the 1980's a partnership with Fisher & Paykel saw worldwide sales of PEC's "Retron" design. In the 1990's PEC's factory was revolutionised with a computerised manufacturing process based on the MRP-II model, and became fully ISO-9001 certificated. In 1999 PEC became part of the Gallagher Group of companies. The Gallagher Group continues to invest in PEC, most recently with a $5M expansion of our factory which includes equipment capable of producing RoHs-Compliant plated through-hole and surface mount circuit board manufacturing equipment. Further in 2007 we implemented the multi million dollar SAP Enterprise Resources Planning System. The adaptability and versatility of the PEC factory have also been expanded, and we offer our services in a contract manufacturing role. |

PEC's contract manufacturing facilities utilise a modern, computerised production system based on the MRP-II model.
